                        7 Land QSO Party

This year we decided to go to Riversedge RV Park for the 7 Land

QSO Party. It was a good choice. The park has new owners and it was clean and friendly. We had  9 hams and family show up. We used two popups hooked together and had 6 stations set up in the popups. A good time was had by all.

The group: Steve, WB7VEQ, Bob, W7RLS, John, NO6Z, Nancy, KF5WQJ, Craig, KD5ODQ, Barb and John, KJ7YY, Deb, KE7TMF, and John, KD7HGS.

There was a prediction of thunderstorms Friday afternoon and night so we hastily put up a tarp over the two popups. The hope was our radios and laptops and other equipment would be dry come Saturday morning when the contest started. The idea was good in theory but in the morning we had a tarp full of water between the two popups. It took a little work to get the water out of the tarp so we could start working the contest. Since we were to have storms that afternoon and evening we did a better job with the tarp.

At least our equipment was dry.

Since we were on the Snake River it was no surprise we where visited by a family of geese.
