                Winter Field Day 2019

It seems like we enjoy working out of the Nampa Fire Training Center for Field Day. It is a good way to work at a different location besides home and it is warmer then working out side in a tent. There were two active bands: 40 and 20 meters, with a little activity on 80 and15 meters. The break down on activity is:

80 meters - CW 12 contacts

40 meters- CW 29, Phone 13, and Digital - 26 contacts

20  meters: CW 15, phone 8, and digital  6 contacts

15 meters: CW 1 and Digital 2 contacts.

At least we had (almost) 4 bands to work with. We had a good turnout on hams:

Bob, WRLS, Tony, KI7TMZ, Steve, WB7VEQ, Rick, KEPNW, John, KD7HGS,

Deb, KE7TMF, Bill, KD7FDW, Alan, W7ADM, Michael, N7YVC, and Jayson, KD7LWR.

Our claimed score with bonuses was 6654. We had bonus points for not working at an established ham location and for not using commercial power.

Four of the operators: John, KD7HGS, working digital. Alan, W7ADM, our CW operator. Bob, W7RLS, worked both digital and phone. And Steve, WB7VEQ, phone. Not shown is Tony, KI7TMZ.

Bob, W7RLS, and Tony, KI7TMZ, discussing how to best use the club's FT757GX HF set.

Alan, W7ADM, working CW. He made a total of 57 contacts.

John, KD7HGS, working Digital. The computer and monitor on his right is a server we use for scoring. It was also on generator power. He made 34 Digital contacts.
