        Idaho QSO Party 2023

It has been several years since we have done a radio event at Idaho Power's Cottonwood campground near Bruneau and we were looking forward to using our BWT (Big White Tent) for the weekend.

As usual, the weather we ordered wasn't the weather we got, so things were a bit dicey weather-wise. We had rain, snow and forty mph winds Thursday night. Things calmed down on Friday morning so that we could put up the tent:

^^^ It only took an hour for us to remember how to set the thing up. Must be a new record!

^^^ R&R time. After getting the tent up, Steve WB7VEQ, cooks up some fried fish and chips for lunch.

^^^ Break time is over. Next is antennas and radio set ups. Bob, W7RLS, has his 31 ft. vertical set up on a drive-on mount under the trailer jack.

^^^ Craig, KD5ODQ set up his Comet no-tune vertical out in the grass. He made the most contacts all weekend.

^^^ John, KD7HGS and Deb, KE7TMF, set up the digital station and scoring computer..

^^^ This is why we put the big silver tarps over the roof of the tent. Not because of leaks, but to keep it dark enough inside the tent to see computer screens.

^^^ Sunday afternoon. Time to take a break before tearing everything down and packing away another great weekend. We hope to see you at the next one. 73!
